Under 18's
Tuesday 6th May
Kent Youth League
Herne Bay 4
Ashford Town 1
A magnificent Herne Bay display takes then ever nearer to that first ever Under 18's Championship.
Ben Brown opened the scoring slotting home from 6 yards. Rob Lawrence took over from there on in and finished with a hat-trick.
Ashfords goal came at 3-1 but it was merely a consolation effort which never was going to herald a come back.
Four more points will make certain of the title and Bay have 3 more games to get them.
Leading Scorers:
Ben Brown 17
Rob Lawrence 16
Robert Joyce 12
next game: home to Whitstable Sunday 11th May 11.00 ko.

Kent League Division 2
Herne Bay 0 - 1 VCD
A game Bay could, and should, have won having shown much greater effort throughout the game. Only poor passing in the final third of the pitch let them down.
Several shots by Bay players but mostly off target. A shame because the VCD Keeper was there to be beaten. A fizzle-out for the last senior game at Winch's Field .

Joe Kane played his last game at Winch's Field before moving Stateside in August for 4 years. Good luck Joe and thanks.
